There is an ongoing debate about inequality, and with the publication of Thomas Pikettys book Capital, it has reached fever pitch. The left says its the defining issue of our time. The right says its notthanks to all the income redistribution! What lies at the heart of the lefts campaign for equality? Why is the right so weak and defensive? What is the rational, individualist approach to inequality? These are some of the issues this talk addresses.
