Yaron Lectures: The Evil of Corbyn's Socialism, a Talk by Yaron Brook

Jeremy Corbyns Labour did much better than expected in Junes General Election. Many in Britain, especially young voters, flocked to the polls as enthusiastically as their American counterparts did last year for Bernie Sanders. Were these voters enamoured by the economics of socialism, or does the appeal of such views stem from a deeper issue? While advocates of economic freedom point to the benefits of the free market and to the fact that socialism has failed wherever it has been attempted, the moral high ground is left to those who promote an ever-growing state. Is the problem with socialism the fact that it proposes inefficient means to achieving noble ends?

Dr. Yaron Brook, Executive Chairman of the Ayn Rand Institute, in his first ever talk at the UK TaxPayers Alliance, will argue that the socialist policies of Corbyns Labour are not merely disastrous, but morally reprehensible, and will explain why the states proper role is to protect individual rights, rather than to level the playing field.

Yaron Brook delivered this talk in London on September 4, 2017.
